Paru-paro Festival


The City of Dasmariñas began as a barrio of the town of Imus, Cavite, until May 12, 1864, when it was recognized as a distinct town. On November 26, 2009, it was named a city after 145 years as a municipality. Paru-paro Festival is the official festival of the City of Dasmariñas by the City Mayor Jennifer Austria Barzaga and the Sangguniang Panlungsod.


City of Dasmariñas celebration activities, the parade with their beautiful and creative butterfly costumes, and a street dance will showcase with the Dasmarineños group dancers and other schools. They also conducted a Paru-Paro fest where the colorful butterfly lantern adorns the light posts along the Highway in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.
