Governor Jonvic Remulla announced Wednesday, April 14, that curfew hours in Cavite province have been set to 8PM to 5AM under the implementation of the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
Curfew hours during the ECQ period were set at 6PM to 5AM. This latest change in curfew hours now matches the other areas under the NCR+ bubble that is also under MECQ.
Remulla claimed that the effects of the two-week ECQ are positive, as he noted that new cases in the province dropped to over 180 compared to the peak of 1,884 cases 10 days ago.
Still, he cautioned Cavite residents to take extra care.
“Mag-ingat ng todo. Walang bulletproof sa COVID. Kahit bata pa at tinatamaaan,” he said.
(Take extra caution. No one is bulletproof from COVID-19. Even young people are hit.)
As of April 13, there are 884,783 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the Philippines, including 165,634 active cases, 703,963 recoveries, and 15,286 deaths.
