Last April 2020, Governor Jonvic Remulla called on President Rodrigo Duterte to shed light on the situation of middle-class workers stating, "As governor, I am respectfully asking that you consider them to be part of the social amelioration program. They may not get as much as the poorest of the poor, but please consider their welfare. They are often overlooked. They pay the most taxes. They keep our economy alive. They are mostly law-abiding citizens. They need a break."
As the middle-class situation is seen this year, Governor Jonvic Remulla assured if the budget is divided equally, the families of Cavite will be receiving 2,500 PHP per household from the province's P3.2 billion budget for the social amelioration program (SAP). The equal allocation of aid per household will prevent any mistakes in distribution, according to Gov. Remulla.
"By doing so, maiiwasan ang mali kung gagawin nating patas ang sistema; walang inggitan at reklamo sa mga hindi maaabutan; ang middle class na laging nakakalimutan ay tiyak protektado at garantisado,” he said.
(By doing so, we will prevent mistakes if the system will be fair; there will be no complaints on those who did not receive aid, and; the middle class who are constantly being forgotten will surely be protected and guaranteed to receive aid.)
